A man was arrested last month on accusations of making threats toward a neighbor. Thirty-three-year-old Justin Bridgman was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on Sept. 28 and released nearly an hour-and-a-half later on a bond of $1,745.
According to an incident report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was dispatched earlier in the day to a residence northwest of Mountain Home on Thetford Way for a domestic disturbance. A male, who identified himself as Bridgman, was reportedly appearing to be highly intoxicated, but he advised he had been in a verbal altercation with a neighbor at Maitland Court. Bridgman accused the neighbor of looking into the windows of nearby residences.
The deputy went to the Maitland Court address and made contact with the neighbor and his wife. The female claimed her husband got into a verbal altercation with Bridgman. She also accused Bridgman of making threats, and at one point, he allegedly got in her face and made threats toward her well-being. The female said the only time her husband got near Bridgman was to defend her and get her away from him.
The deputy says he advised all parties to remain in their residences and leave each other alone. A brief time later, authorities were called back because Bridgman was allegedly outside the Maitland Court residence making more threats. A female at the Thetford Way residence claimed Bridgman’s keys were taken from him because he was too drunk to drive, and he took off on foot. After searching the area for some time, authorities reportedly found Bridgman on the ground next to a tree near another residence. He reportedly continued to be heavy intoxicated and making threats toward the neighbor.
As Bridgman was taken into custody and transported to a patrol unit, they passed the neighbors’ residence, and the threats allegedly continued. He was patted down before being taken into custody, and a baggie with a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana was reportedly located in his front pocket.
Bridgman faces charges of terroristic threatening, possession of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
