Ty Chapman
A member of the Baxter County Quorum Court has announced this current term will be his last, and another man will be running for his seat. District 11 Justice of the Peace Ty Chapman will not seek reelection, and Ezra Roberts will seek the position in next year’s election.
Chapman is in his fourth term as a member of the quorum court. In his announcement, Chapman states, “I want my constituents to know how much I appreciate them and how thankful I am for letting me represent them for the past 4 terms. It has been a pleasure serving Baxter County.”
Roberts describes himself as a fourth generation Baxter County resident. He says, “I have lived in the Buford area my entire life. I have worked for Baxter County Sheriff as well as Baxter County Road and bridge. I would love to continue serving the citizens of Baxter County.”
The filing period for the March Preferential Primary Election runs from Nov. 6 until Nov. 14.
