An Ava man sustained serious injuries in a two vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon in Douglas County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred 12 miles east of along Missouri Highway 76 when a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Brittany Escobedo of Mansfield turned into the path and collided with a vehicle driven by 39-year-old Jeffrey Barry of Ava causing him to travel off the roadway and overturn.
Barry was transported by air ambulance to CoxHealth South in Springfield for treatment.
