Continuing from our story on Thursday, Baxter Health President and CEO Ron Peterson discusses the next steps for Baxter Health and the opportunities for growth.
KTLO’s Heather Loftis asks Peterson how does the hospital survive with the challenges of increasing costs while growing revenue.
Peterson states there is no plan to close the outpatient surgery center.
Baxter Health is in the process of planning to build an ambulatory surgical center in Harrison. Peterson states Baxter Health has been able to partner with physicians in the area and they believe there is an opportunity to have a successful ambulatory surgical center for the community.
In recent months, Baxter Health has entered into a management agreement with the state to keep the Fulton County Hospital operational. Peterson clarifies no funding from Baxter Health is going towards Fulton County.
Peterson says the reason the hospital will continue to grow and be successful in the future is due to their employees.
