The Bombers went on the road Tuesday and suffered a 55-47 defeat at the hands of Fayetteville. While the Bulldogs led for much of the first quarter, their advantage was never bigger than five. Mountain Home outscored Fayetteville 16-5 in the second period and went into the locker room up six at the break. Jadyn Henry, who never saw the floor for the Purple Dogs in the first half, came out to start the third quarter and led their comeback. Once Fayetteville went up 33-30, they would not trail again. Their lead never got to double digits, but they kept enough distance from the Bombers to secure the win in the end.

Braiden Dewey led Mountain Home with 18 points, and Ryder McClain added 10. For the Purple Dogs, D.J. Hudson scored 14 points, and Henry chipped in 11.

Fayetteville improves to 4-0 on the season. The Bombers fall to 3-1, and they’ll have their second matchup with Batesville on Monday to begin the Searcy Classic.
