Arkansas State Police detectives are investigating after a Monticello man was shot in Dermott Thursday night. Officers found 36-year-old Michael Carter dead at a home on South Knox Street.
Forty-nine-year-old Zusa Jackson is now facing charges of second degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm. Officers said he is a California resident and was staying at a home on the street where Carter was killed.
