Tuesday basketball schedule includes MHHS renewing rivalry with Harrison

High school basketball makes up much of the local Tuesday schedule and includes a renewal of one of the state’s oldest rivalries. Mountain Home wraps up its six-game home stand as they meet Harrison.
Mountain Home’s girls are tied for fifth in Class 5A in the newest rankings from the Arkansas Sports Media. The Lady Bombers are currently 12-5 on the season and 1-0 in the 5A-West after routing Siloam Springs on Friday. Harrison is 7-8 and 1-0. The Lady Goblins started conference play on Saturday with a win over Alma.
The Mountain Home boys are 13-4 overall and 1-0 in the league. The Bombers are coming off a 12-point win over Siloam Springs. Harrison is 12-5 and 0-1. The Goblins ended up losing to Alma on Saturday.
The junior varsity games tip off at 4:45 at Bomber Gymnasium. The varsity contests get underway around 6 and will be broadcast on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.

Also in the 5A-West, Greenbrier hosts Russellville, Siloam Springs travels to Alma, and Van Buren makes the short trip to Greenwood.

Elsewhere, Cotter entertains Haas Hall-Bentonville, Norfork heads to Greers Ferry to face West Side, Flippin is home against Lincoln, Yellville-Summit travels to Western Grove to take on Ozark Mountain, Viola hosts Concord, Calico Rock makes the trip to Timbo, Gainesville’s boys entertain Sparta, the Gainesville girls head to Ava, Salem is home against Tuckerman, Mammoth Spring travels to Jonesboro to play Ridgefield Christian, Melbourne makes the trip to Walnut Ridge, Marshall hosts Quitman, Mountain View heads to Newport, Rural Special travels to Shirley, Lead Hill entertains the School of the Ozarks, Bergman makes the trip to West Fork, Valley Springs is home against Elkins, Omaha hosts Alpena, and Jasper heads to Deer.
