Council met for an hour and 25 minutes with all council members present. City attorney, Ron Kincade was in attendance with a recommendation to the council of signing an agreement to seek possible litigation against a warranty issue on the city’s second well. Council did move and approve that unanimously for me to sign that agreement.

Council then went on to regular business and approved the 2022 wastewater audit. Council then went on and approved the resolution number 2024-01, the 2024 operating budget for the city of Gassville. That was approved unanimously. Council then went on to the Reconciliation Resolution, and that was approved unanimously.

Council then went on and heard an ordinance regarding regulating shipping containers and semi truck trailers for storage purposes and residential areas. That was heard on its first reading. Council, on the recommendation of the Personnel Committee, heard Ordinance 2024-02. That amends the minimum starting salaries for employees of the City of Gassville.

And finally, council took up our organization of city government items. Our meeting dates will remain the same, the third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. We then went on to consider members of standing committees and, uh, our agenda and the order of business.
