The Classes 2A/1A State Bowling Tournament was held Friday at the Rogers Bowling Center, and top prizes went to two local teams.
Norfork’s boys successfully defended their title from last year and captured their eighth state championship overall. The Panthers finished 3599 pins, 163 ahead of Conway Christian. Izard County finished sixth as Xander McCandlis was one of the medalists. Calico Rock ended up 10th.
Calico Rock took home the girls’ title with 3,060 pins, 12 pins ahead of Concord. Norfork finished third, and Izard County was eighth.
