An Ozark County man has been arrested after he allegedly rammed the vehicle of another driver and fired a shot at that driver. Deputies arrested 68-year-old Charlie Hogue of Isabella following the incident Thursday afternoon.According to the probable cause affidavit, deputies were told by the victim the incident had happened on State Highway P in Theodosia. The victim says they asked Hogue multiple times to stop ramming his vehicle, but he continued and then fired a rifle at their vehicle and fled.

Deputies were able to find a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle a short time later at a business in Theodosia. As the deputy pulled in, Hogue was extending his middle finger at the deputy and yelling profanities at him.

As the deputy approached, he could smell the odor of intoxicants coming from Hogue. Hogue refused commands to put his hands behind his back and it took two law enforcement officers to take him into custody.

The vehicle Hogue had been driving had front end damage and a 410 shotgun was found inside along with an empty shell casing.

Hogue is facing felony charges of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. Other charges include DWI, leaving the scene of an accident and property damage. He is being held in the Ozark County Jail without bond.
