Two of the Mountain Home athletic department’s leaders were recognized by the Arkansas High School Coaches Association as the Outstanding Coaches of the Year were recently announced for fall sports. Dell Leonard received the honor for boys’ golf, and Wil Norris took the award for boys’ cross country.
Leonard says it was an honor to be recognized by his peers, but he gives the credit to others involved in the program.

For Norris, it was even more special to receive his award. He says he has been proud to lead the program that helped him become a successful athlete and continue its tradition.

The Bomber boys’ cross country team finished the previous season with their second consecutive Class 5A state championship and the program’s sixth state title overall. The Mountain Home boys’ golf team was the Class 5A state runner-up.
