High school basketball makes up the local Wednesday schedule as state tournaments continue in Arkansas.
Cotter’s girls will be in Mansfield for their opener in the Class 2A State Tournament. The Lady Warriors meet Parkers Chapel at 7.
Two area girls’ teams will be in Elkins for the first round of the Class 3A State Tournament. Salem faces Drew Central at 1, and Mountain View takes on Jessieville at 7.
Four area teams will play their first games in the Class 1A State Tournament on the south campus of North Arkansas College in Harrison. The Rural Special boys play County Line at 2:30. On the girls’ side, Mammoth Spring will be paired with Jasper at 4, and Omaha meets Concord at 7.
District play continues for Missouri’s larger schools, and two area girls’ teams will be in Marshfield for their openers in the Class 5, District 6 Tournament. West Plains faces Webb City at 7, and Branson takes on Springfield Hillcrest at 8:30.
Hollister’s girls return to Mountain Grove for the semifinals of the Class 4, District 11 Tournament. The Lady Tigers play the host Lady Panthers at 7:30.
