Argument over dog food leads to man being arrested after he attacks his pregnant sister

An argument over dog food ended with a man going to jail after he attacked his pregnant sister. Three felony charges have been filed against 22-year-old Gabriel Daugherty of Harrison.

According to the probable cause affidavit from the Harrison Police Department, officers responded to a residence for an altercation between a brother and sister over dog food.

When they arrived, they discovered the sister, who is pregnant, had been pushed to the ground and into a refrigerator. The victim told police her brother knew she is pregnant. The victim told officers Daugherty said if she called police, he would cause her to have a miscarriage. At the time, he was holding a shower rod and threatening her with it.

Daugherty is charged with felony counts of domestic battery in the third degree, aggravated assault on a family or household member and terrorist threatening.
