The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has updated it’s closure schedule for Arkansas Highway 178 across the Bull Shoals Dam.
According to a press release, a full road closure is scheduled until Tuesday night at 5 and will be open Wednesday. The road will close again on Thursday from 7 until 5.
Corps officials state they regret any inconvenience this may cause and the closure has been coordinated with local emergency and lawn enforcement agencies.
It is suggested to plan an alternate route through the area during the road closure. Travel to locations on Highway 178 past the Bull Shoals Dam closure will require a detour using Highway 178 and Arkansas Highway 5 to Arkansas Highway 126 through Midway and Gassville; U.S. Highway 62/412 through Flippin; and Highway 178 through Bull Shoals.
