A Calico Rock man is facing 100 counts of distributing, possessing or viewing of matter depicting sexually-explicit conduct involving a child. Fifty-five-year-old Mark Vangorder has been in the Izard County Detention Center since being booked Tuesday morning.
According to the Arkansas State Police, agents with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Izard County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Arkansas Highway 56. A joint undercover operation between the task force and the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office led to the discovery of thousands of files of child sexual abuse material allegedly downloaded and shared from Vangorder’s residence.
Vangorder’s bond is set at $250,000.
