A Mountain Home man died Monday in the White River. Law enforcement identified the victim as 69-year-old Mark Selvocki.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Selvocki had been seen standing, wading or fishing in the White River in the area of the Rainbow Resort. Some people in a boat later found him unconscious in the water, took him to a gravel bar and called 911 at 12:34 Monday afternoon.

The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas Game and Fish Commission are conducting the investigation, but no foul play is suspected. It’s not known at this time if Selvocki’s death is accidental or a drowning.
