On Wednesday, the Baxter County Library will host a Library Giving Day fundraiser online. Contributions will go towards acquiring books and supporting innovative programs.
The Baxter County Public Library Foundation is an Arkansas not-for-profit corporation recognized by the IRS as a 501(c) (3) tax-deductible charity foundation that was founded in 1999. It is composed of community volunteers dedicated to governing and overseeing Foundation operations, investments and donations. The Library Foundation manages several restricted funds, which supplement community support for library programs, maintenance, information, technology, staff support and special programs.
Support from the Library Foundation is important to sustaining programming and resources at the library. In 2023, the Baxter County Library Foundation provided almost 30% of the Library’s operating budget.
