A Sharp County man has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted two Mountain Home residents and stole a vehicle from one of them. The arrest of 29-year-old Aaron Riviere of Cherokee Village was made a short time after the theft.According to the probable cause affidavit from the Mountain Home Police Department, Riviere allegedly went to a residence on Bluemont Drive and assaulted two people and then stole a vehicle belonging to one of the people he assaulted.
A BOLO, or be on the lookout, for the vehicle was issued. One of the victims told officers Riviere is from Sharp County and he could be headed that way.
A short time later, Riviere was stopped by law enforcement in Salem driving the stolen vehicle and taken into custody.
Riviere is facing a felony charge of theft of property along with two misdemeanor charges of second degree assault and a single charge of driving while his drivers license is suspended.
Riviere is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on bonds totaling $10,000.
