The St. Louis Cardinals are set to begin a six-game road trip on Friday. The Redbirds will spend the weekend in Phoenix as they play a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
St. Louis is currently 6-7 on the season. The Cardinals wrapped up their home stand Wednesday with Philadelphia getting the win and taking the three-game set.
Arizona, the defending National League champions, also brings a 6-7 record into the weekend. The Diamondbacks were able to take two out of three this week at Colorado.
Steven Matz will be the starting pitcher for St. Louis, and Arizona will go with Brandon Pfaadt. The first pitch at Chase Field is scheduled for 8:40. Friday’s game can be heard on KTLO-AM. The broadcast begins at 7:45 with Ameren Total Access.
