Thursday track results include Yellville-Summit’s Moore winning 6 events at Harrison

Branson swept both team titles in the Goblin Rosson Invitational Thursday at Harrison, and Yellville-Summit’s KJ-Keirstin Moore won six events.
The Lady Panthers took second place on the girls’ side, Harrison finished fifth, Flippin was seventh, Omaha ended up eighth, Bergman took ninth place, Marshall finished 10th, Cotter was 11th, Ozark Mountain ended up 12th, and Timbo took 13th place.
Among the individual results, Moore won the high jump, the long jump, the 100-meter hurdles and the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes; Yellville-Summit’s Riley Hopson won the 800-meter and 1600-meter runs; Harrison’s Laiklyn Stephens won the triple jump and the 100-meter dash; Laural Larimore of Branson won the shot put and the discus; Branson’s Kaylor Alms won the pole vault; and Lily Holmes of Branson won the 300-meter hurdles. Yellville-Summit’s team of Hannah Hayward, Hopson, Bailey Ervin and Moore won the 4×400-meter relay; Stephens, Brinkley Dove, Carley Phillips and Lily Kate Arnold of Harrison won the 4×200-meter relay; Branson’s Kortney Black, Brooklyn Mulnik, Adrienne Roberts and Lilli Sever won the 4×800-meter relay; and Seraeh Bedell, Sirena Carlson, Brooklyn Davis and Elle Johnson of Branson won the 4×100-meter relay.
On the boys’ side, Harrison finished second, Omaha was fourth, Yellville-Summit ended up sixth, Flippin took seventh place, Marshall finished ninth, Lead Hill was 10th, Norfork ended up 11th, and Cotter and Timbo tied for 12th place.
Individually, Kolby Hurst of Flippin won the high jump, Harrison’s Noah Morris won the 300-meter hurdles, Brody Weeks of Harrison won the shot put, Harrison’s Jake Massey won the 100-meter dash, and Trey Searle of Omaha won the triple jump. For Branson, Tyler Storment won the 400-meter dash and the 800-meter run, Payton Bough won the long jump, Ben Kirk won the discus, Javen Conway won the pole vault, Hunter Reynolds won the 110-meter hurdles, Tristan Bough won the 1600-meter run, and Zyere Fair won the 200-meter dash. The Pirates also won all four relays.

A few area schools competed in the Wellman Relays at Pocahontas.
Mountain View won the girls’ team title, Salem took fifth place, and Melbourne finished in a tie for 16th place. Individually, Marleigh Sellars of Salem won the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, Mountain View’s Emma Akins won the 800-meter run and the long jump, and Kaitlyn McCarn of Mountain View won the high jump.
On the boys’ side, Salem was 13th, Mountain View ended up 18th, Izard County was part of a three-way tie for 22nd place, and Melbourne finished tied for 25th, and Mammoth Spring took 29th place. Salem’s Elijah Romine was the top area performer as he finished fourth in the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles.
