The most successful high school quiz bowl team in Arkansas’ class 1A over the past eight years is making yet another appearance in the state finals Saturday. Norfork has won the state championship four times, finished second two times and has one third place finish since 2016. The only time they didn’t finish in the top three was when the finals were not held due to COVID.

The Panthers are the reigning state champs after defeating Sacred Heart of Morrilton last year, the same team they will face in the title match this year. This will be the third year in a row Norfork has played in the championship.

Norfork won their other state titles in 2019, 2017 and 2016.

Norfork qualified by winning the regional tournament at Bradford and then all of their matches at UACCM in Morrilton.
