The Norfork High School Quiz Bowl team was able to successfully defend its state title from a year ago. The Panthers also captured their fifth championship in nine years as they pulled away from Sacred Heart to win the Class 1A match 230-175 at the Arkansas Governor’s Quiz Bowl Association state finals in Conway. The tournament’s most valuable player award went to Norfork’s Ethan Terrill for the second straight year. The Panthers, who have finished in the top three in each of the last nine years, will take home $3,000.
