Cardinals to host White Sox for three-game interleague series

The Cardinals return to St. Louis on Friday for the start of a six-game home stand. The Redbirds continue interleague play as they begin a three-game series against the Chicago White Sox.

St. Louis is currently in fourth place in the National League Central with a record of 14-17 as they trail Milwaukee by 5 1/2 games. The Cardinals ended up losing their previous series in Detroit after the Tigers took the rubber game on Wednesday.

The White Sox are in last place in the American League Central as they trail Cleveland by 14 games with a mark of 6-25. They were most recently swept in a three-game series by Minnesota at Chicago.

Sonny Gray will start on the mound for St. Louis, and the White Sox will go with Brad Keller. The first pitch at Busch Stadium is scheduled for 7:15. Friday’s game can be heard on KTLO-AM. The broadcast begins at 6:20 with Ameren Total Access.
