A Willow Springs man wanted in connection with a domestic disturbance call has been found dead from an alleged self-inflicted gunshot wound in West Plains.According to the West Plains Police Department, they received an anonymous tip Tuesday night regarding the location of 34-year-old Shawn Clark who was  wanted on multiple outstanding warrants and a domestic disturbance on May 13 where it was alleged shots were fired. The informant stated Clark was seen at a residence in the area.Upon arrival, officers state Clark had barricaded himself inside the residence and refused orders to come out. Authorities confirmed an adult male and adult female were also inside the residence with Clark and police were able to help them out of the home without injury.

The West Plains Strategic Response Team along with Howell County Sheriff’s Deputies set up a perimeter and tried to negotiate with Clark to come out. Police say Clark fired several shots at officers and deputies during the negotiations.

Negotiations continued until entry was made into the home, where Clark was found dead due to an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound. No injuries were sustained by law enforcement personnel on the scene.
