Arkansas State Police (ASP) are investigating a homicide in Lee County.
On Tuesday, a farmer reported that he found the body of a woman in a farm field off Lee County Road 706, north of Marianna. The woman was later identified as Ashley Monroe, 30, of Lexa, Arkansas. Lee County Sheriffs Office requested ASP to investigate a homicide Tuesday, May 21.
Authorities said her body was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine the cause of her death.
