Cardinals to host Cubs for 3-game weekend series

The St. Louis Cardinals continue their nine-game home stand on Friday by welcoming their biggest rival. The Redbirds will begin a three-game series with the Chicago Cubs.

St. Louis is currently in third place in the National League Central with a record of 23-26, and they’re currently five games behind Milwaukee. The Cardinals swept Baltimore this week to clinch their third consecutive series.

The Cubs, currently at 27-24 on the season, are in second place in the division and trail the Brewers by two games. Chicago ended up losing two out of three to Atlanta this week.

Miles Mikolas will take the mound for St. Louis, and the Cubs will go with Shota Imanaga. The first pitch at Busch Stadium is scheduled for 7:15. Friday’s game can be heard on KTLO-AM. The broadcast begins at 6:20 with Ameren Total Access.
