No injuries after car crashes into Dollar General in Mountain Home

No injuries were reported Friday when a car crashed into the front of the Dollar General store in the College Plaza Shopping Center in Mountain Home.

According to the report from the Mountain Home Police Department, the driver of the vehicle, 85-year-old Dimple Mitchell of Mountain Home, apparently hit the accelerator instead of the brake of her vehicle which caused the car to jump the curb and go through a plate glass window, retaining wall and door.

Damage to the building and contents inside was estimated at $45,000. Damage to Mitchell’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000.

No citations were issued in the accident which happened at 12:04 Friday afternoon.
