Arkansas is set to begin its run in the NCAA Baseball Tournament by hosting the Fayetteville Regional. The Razorbacks’ opening opponent will be Southeast Missouri State.

Arkansas enters the tournament as the overall No. 5 national seed despite being on a three-game losing streak. The Hogs, currently 43-14, finished the regular season as the SEC Western Division champions. However, they lost their regular season finale at Texas A&M and followed with a pair of defeats at the hands of South Carolina and Kentucky in the SEC Tournament.

Southeast Missouri State goes into the regional with a record of 34-25. The Redhawks received an automatic bid after winning the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.

The first pitch at Baum-Walker Stadium is scheduled for 2. Friday’s game can be streamed online on ESPN Plus.

The other two teams in the Fayetteville Regional will be Louisiana Tech and Kansas State. The Bulldogs and Wildcats will take the field at 7.

The four teams in the Fayetteville Regional will play a double elimination format. The team that avoids two losses will advance to the super regional round and compete in a best-of-three series against the winner of the Charlottesville Regional in Virginia.
