
The Mountain Home Lockeroom American Legion baseball team split its Friday games in the College of the Ozarks Summer Showcase at Forsyth.
The Lockeroom began the afternoon by dominating Clever, Mo., 20-2. Jordan Corbett led Mountain Home by going 3-for-3 with a double, a triple and three RBIs; Lincoln Sherry was 2-for-3 with four RBIs; and Cash Arnhart went 2-for-4 and drove in five runs. Ethan Light picked up the win as he pitched all four innings, struck out five batters and gave up five hits.
The Lockeroom did not fare as well in their second game as they were edged out by Willard, Mo., 4-3. Nate Henderson was 2-for-2 with two walks and an RBI, Finley Chafin went 3-for-4 with three doubles, and Jett Hannaford was 3-for-5 with an RBI. Arnhart suffered the defeat as he pitched a complete game, recorded one strikeout and gave up six hits and one earned run.
Mountain Home is now 5-4 on the season.
