
On Friday, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders authorized pay increases for some state employees.
A one time 3 percent increase to all Arkansas Executive Branch state employees’ pay was approved and will go into effect June 23rd. Additionally, Governor Sanders authorized a 1 percent base salary increase for those who met expectations and a 3 percent base salary increase for those who exceeded expectations.
Talk Business and Politics reports there are more than 22,000 executive branch workers in Arkansas state government. The 3 percent adjustment for pay increases will cost at least $19 million.
