
Dangerous heat is in the forecast for Tuesday but relief is on the way in the form of below average temperatures and rain.An excessive heat warning will be in effect today from noon until 8 with heat indexes possibly reaching 112 degrees. National Weather Service Metoerologist Colby Pope says the rain begins late this evening with a cold front bringing a massive change to daytime highs and overnight lows.

Wednesday will see a seventy percent chance for showers and thunderstorms with daytime highs reaching 84 degrees as a cold front moves through the region. The rest of the week through next Monday calls for sunny conditions with daytime highs around 80 degrees and overnight lows around 60. Average highs for this time of year is 90 degrees with average lows around 68.
