MH boys win, girls finish 3rd in Ultimate Auto Group High School Invitational

The Ultimate Auto Group High School Invitational concluded Tuesday at Big Creek Golf and Country Club with the boys’ title staying in Mountain Home.

The Bombers topped the boys’ leaderboard with a team total of 626, beating out Harrison by four strokes. Russellville finished third at 633, Alma was fourth at 654, Van Buren ended up fifth at 664, Flippin took sixth place at 692, Mountain Home’s gold team and Shiloh Christian finished tied for seventh place at 697, Greenwood was ninth at 704, Providence Academy ended up 10th at 731, Harrison’s gold team took 11th place at 751, Siloam Springs finished 12th at 807, and Bergman was 13th at 843.

Harrison’s Berkley Knapp was the individual medalist with a two-day total of 149. For Mountain Home, Cody Cormican ended up third with a 153, Ian Ellison ended up fourth with a 155, and Chace Berwald finished tied for eighth place with a 158. Hudson Lindsey was Flippin’s top golfer as he was part of a three-way tie for fifth place with a 157. Sawyer Schubert led Bergman with a 186.

Mountain Home took third place on the girls’ side at 588. Russellville won the team title at 470, Shiloh Christian finished second at 552, Harrison was fourth at 620, and Greenwood ended up fifth at 639.

The medalist honor went to Russellville’s Susanna Manns with a two-day total of 146. Abby Edens led the Lady Bombers as she took fifth place with a 177, Anna Torres finished ninth with a 194, and Ashley Smith was 14th with a 217. Harrison’s top golfer was Jacklyn Tapley as she ended up 11th with a 201.
