Earlier on Tuesday, KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News reported the boil water order in effect for Pyatt Waterworks was lifted. That report was incorrect as the order remains in effect for the entire system.
The current boil order was issued Monday morning due to a water line break. A previous order for Pyatt Waterworks had been lifted two days earlier.
All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
