MHHS boys get 1-stroke win, girls finish 3rd at Harrison Country Club

The Mountain Home High School golf teams competed in an event at Harrison Country Club with the boys’ side going down to the final hole.

After the Goblins’ Mason Rosewicz missed a 9-foot putt, Teagen Booy sank his 8-footer to give the Bombers the one-stroke win. Mountain Home’s team total was 314, and Harrison had 315. Cody Cormican led the Bombers as he ended up as the medalist with a one-under-par 69. Sam Wynn finished in a tie for second with Jack Magness of the Goblins after both shot a 77. Mountain Home’s Chace Berwald and Harrison’s Keeton Carter were tied for fourth with a 78.

The Lady Bombers took third place on the girls’ team leaderboard at 311. The Lady Goblins captured the win at 292. Mountain Home’s Abby Edens was the medalist with a 91, Anna Torres shot a 100, and Ashley Smith finished with a 120.

Both Bomber teams return to the road Friday morning as they’ll compete in the Hurricane Classic at Jonesboro Country Club.
