The Baxter County Fair continues Thursday with free admission for two different groups.
Thursday will be Senior Citizen Day as those over the age of 65 can contact Garland Insurance at 870-425-0303 for a free pass. It will also be Veterans Day as complimentary tickets will be available at the gate to veterans courtesy of Jim Brown Company.
There will be several activities in the livestock show arena. The dairy cattle and dairy goats show and showmanship begin at 9, and the arena will have the breeding goats at 10:30, breeding sheep at 11:30, adult breeding cattle at 1, the junior breeding cattle and commercial heifer show at 2 and the meat rabbit show at 4. At 6, the livestock show arena will have the show and showmanship for market steers, beef cattle, bottle calves, market goats, wether dam goats, meat goats, market lambs and sheep and wether dam sheep.
The poultry and rabbit barn will be closed for judging from 9:30 to noon. The barn will host the rabbit showmanship for youth at 3:30.
The commercial booths will be open from 10 to 9. The Senior Bingo Bash will be held on the indoor stage from 10:30 to 12:30.
The carnival will be open from 5 until the close of the fair. Thursday’s musical act, Erin Walters, will be on the outdoor stage from 7 to 9.
