The Baxter County 4-H Poultry Chain Auction will be a silent auction this year at the Baxter County Fair.
According to Baxter County Extension Agent for 4-H Amanda Rychtarik, bids can be made up until Saturday at noon in the Critter Barn. Rychtarik says a pen of four Hyline Brown pullets are four-months-old and many are just starting to lay eggs. She says these are docile birds that are relatively easy to care for.
Rychtarik says, “Purchasing these birds would be a great way to start your own homestead project and help our county 4-H at the same time.”
