A Boone County woman has been arrested for attacking both her husband and her dog with a board when she became upset because her husband flushed her drugs. Forty-two-year-old Cheryl Lynn Green of rural Harrison is facing two felony charges for the incident.

According to the probable cause affidavit from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, the husband showed up at the sheriff’s office with injuries to his face, arms and legs and had blood on his shirt. He told a deputy he had been in a physical altercation with his wife because he discovered she was hiding drugs under the couch. He is on parole and cannot be around illegal activity, so he took the drugs and flushed them down the toilet.

The victim says Green attacked him by punching him several times in the face, cutting his right arm with a fork and then hitting him with the board. The victim says Green then attacked the dog with board until it couldn’t walk.

When a deputy went to the house to question Green about the incident, she said her husband was the one who beat her up, but she had no signs of physical abuse.

Green is charged with felony counts of aggravated battery in the second degree and aggravated cruelty to a dog, cat or equine. She is free on bonds totaling $15,000.
