The 97th edition of the Baxter County Fair will come to a close Saturday with a full slate of activities.

One of the first events will be the Home Depot kids’ workshop from 10 to noon on the outdoor stage. The commercial booths will reopen at 10 and close later that night at 9.

There will be plenty of activities in the livestock show arena. The stick horse rodeo, relay races and treasure hunt will be from 10:30 to noon, the parade of champions starts at 1, and the chainsaw contest begins at 4.

The carnival will start at noon and continue until the fair closes. The majority of the livestock will be released in the livestock barn following the parade of champions. Poultry and rabbits will be checked out Sunday. The lawn mower races get underway at 5 at the Mountain Home Saddle Club Arena, and Buckshot will perform on the outdoor stage from 7 to 9.

Admission is $7 for ages 6-and-older and free for 5-and-younger.
