MH boys win golf outing over Melbourne; girls’ match ends in draw

The Mountain Home High School golf teams returned to Big Creek Golf and Country Club on Monday for an outing with Melbourne.

The Bomber boys defeated the Bearkatz 304-355, and one Mountain Home golfer finished under par for the fourth consecutive round. Cody Cormican shot a one-under-par 71, Chace Berwald had a 75, and Braxton Blagg ended up with a 77. Carter Manry led Melbourne with a 75.

The Lady Bombers finished in a draw with the Lady Bearkatz as both teams had a total of 292. Mountain Home was led by Anna Torres with an 88, Abby Edens shot a 95, and Ashley Smith carded a 109. Melbourne’s Annie Rush was the top golfer with an 85.

Mountain Home also had three junior varsity boys play nine holes. Ayden Havens had a 45, Jax Wescoat finished with a 52, and Aiden Garner ended up with a 57.
