The new rivalry between Harrison and Branson had to wait a little while to decide its first winner, but it was the Pirates who came out on top over the Goblins on Saturday. Branson took first possession of the Pella Windows and Doors Border Battle Trophy after defeating Harrison 23-7.

The game was originally scheduled for Friday, and the two teams were able to play the first half with the Goblins going into the locker room up 7-3. However, the weather had other plans, and lightning forced the suspension of the game. The second half was played Saturday evening, and the Pirates scored 20 unanswered points for the win.

Harrison starts the year at 0-1, and they’ll host Mountain Home on Friday.
