A man put on probation in early November 2019 for damaging four doors to storage units, living in one unit and using another for a bathroom, appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court last Monday.

Forty-one-year-old Steven Wade Bailey Jr. had his probation revoked and was sentenced to four years in prison with a judicial transfer to one of the Community Correction Centers in the state for addiction treatment.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Bailey legitimately rented one unit at A-1 Storage located along Buzzard Roost Road in April 2019.

During an inspection made by the owner of the property, he found doors to four of the units damaged. Bailey was reported to have been seen on security camera footage doing the damage which was reported to be so extensive, all four of the doors would need replacing.

The owner found that Bailey had been using one of the units as living quarters which is not allowed. Another unit was being used as a bathroom requiring it to be cleaned out and sterilized.

Bailey was reported to have thrown bags of trash over a dirt embankment while he was “living” at the storage facility which the owner had to remove.

A petition to revoke Bailey’s probation was filed accusing him of violating the terms and conditions of his probation in a number of ways including not reporting for scheduled office visits.

The case record shows a number of revocation petitions being filed in Bailey’s case, some based on him committing other crimes that violated the terms and conditions of his probation. He also shows to have missed several court appearances and the case was once on inactive status.
