A man is dead after a storm flipped his fifth-wheel camper over Sunday afternoon at Cloud 9 Ranch Club northwest of Caulfield. The name of the victim is currently not being released.
A Facebook post from the ranch states the male and his wife believed to be from Illinois were in their camper at the Fogey campground. Ozark County Sheriff Cass Martin says high winds resulted in their camper being turned over, and ranch officials say several tree limbs were also down in the area.
Cloud 9 representatives first posted on Facebook about the male’s injuries around 3:20 Sunday afternoon, and they announced his death nearly 2 1/2 hours later. The victim’s wife was not injured.
There were no severe weather warnings when the incident occurred.
