Mountain Home Parks and Recreation and the L.C. Sammons Youth Center will host the 9th annual Fishing Derby Saturday morning from 9 until noon at McCabe Park. The fishing derby is open to children ages 1 to 15.
Andrew McNair, recreational coordinator of outdoor sports at Mountain Home Parks and Recreation, says the purpose of the event is for children to have fun.

The event is free, but children will need to provide their own poles. Prizes will be available.
