The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has announced it will waive day-use fees at recreation areas nationwide in observance of National Public Lands Day on Saturday.
The waiver covers fees for boat launch ramps and swim beaches only. The waiver does not apply to camping and camping-related services or fees for specialized facilities and events.
Since 1994, the USACE has been involved in National Public Lands Day, by contributing sites and volunteers and encouraging the public to participate in events marking the day.
Visitors should contact the Mountain Home Project Office at 870-425-2700 before visiting to ensure recreation areas are open.
The status of USACE-managed campgrounds, boat ramps, swim beaches and other sites are available at https://corpslakes.erdc.dren.mil/visitors/status.cfm?state=AR
