Over the course of two days, the 43rd annual Health Fair and Expo held in Mountain Home and Harrison saw over 3,000 attendees.The expo hosted health professionals, wellness vendors and community members for a day of learning and health screenings. Attendees were able to pick up vouchers for free blood sugar, cholesterol, PSA and HbA1c testing.
Kids of all ages participated in the Teddy Bear Clinic, an interactive healthcare experience which included teddy bear repair and adoption.
Baxter Health held a drawing for a 5-day cruise leaving from the Port of New Orleans. The five finalists in Mountain Home were Dave Achelpohl, Fred Edwards, Mitch Hargett, Cate Collins and Gail McDaniel. And the five finalists in Harrison were Susie Ramey, Jenny Wilson, Wendy Michel, Lesa Brown and Liz Milam.
Ramey was announced as the winner at halftime of the Mountain Home Bombers and Russellville Cyclones football game Friday night.
