MHHS boys hit 14 3s in victory at Rogers

The Mountain Home High School boys’ basketball team was able to get another win on the road on Thursday. The Bombers picked up the 69-55 victory at Rogers.

Jackson Corp picked up where he left off in Tuesday’s game against Paragould at Memphis as he put up 11 points in the opening quarter alone. Mountain Home ended up with 10 three-pointers in the first half and went into the locker room up 17 at the break. The Bombers extended their lead by more than 20 in the third period. The Mounties cut into the margin, but it was too much to overcome as Mountain Home went on to win by 14.

Corp led the Bombers with 22 points, Rhett Gilbert scored 14, Ryder McClain had 13, and Tyler Podwoski added 12 points as the team hit a total of 14 shots from the arc. Nate Jones recorded 22 points for Rogers.

Mountain Home improves to 2-1 on the season.   The Mounties fall to 4-1.
