Thursday basketball results include Flippin advancing to both title games of Arvest Bank Tournament

The Arvest Bank Tournament held its semifinal round in both the winners and consolation brackets Thursday in Flippin.
Norfork’s girls ended up getting eliminated from the tournament. The host Lady Bobcats advanced to the championship game as they edged out the Lady Panthers 50-48.
Flippin will be paired with another group of Lady Bobcats on Saturday. Marshall won the other girls’ semifinal as they squeaked by Rural Special 68-66.
Yellville-Summit’s girls were able to advance to Saturday’s consolation title game. The Lady Panthers breezed past Alpena 49-22.
Yellville-Summit’s last opponent in the tournament will be Kingston. Omaha fell to the Lady Yellowjackets 52-46.
Flippin also advanced to the championship game on the boys’ side. In a battle between Bobcats, Flippin defeated Marshall 72-31.
Yellville-Summit will be Flippin’s opponent on Saturday. The Panthers were able to get past Timbo 48-42.
Cotter’s boys ended up getting bounced from the tournament in the consolation semifinals. The Warriors lost to Rural Special 66-55.
Norfork lost the other consolation game to Lead Hill 65-36. The Tigers were led by Noah Royce with 32 points and 11 rebounds.

Elsewhere, the Calico Rock High School teams were swept by another group of Pirates from Concord. Calico Rock fell in the girls’ game 45-38, and they also lost the boys’ contest 58-47.

The Salem girls had short but successful road trip. The Lady Greyhounds went to Highland and came away with the 48-46 win.

The Valley Springs High School teams had mixed results at Berryville. The Lady Tigers pounded the Lady Bobcats 51-25. Valley Springs was not as fortunate in the boys’ game as they were edged out by Berryville 60-59.

Both of Jasper’s teams suffered defeats in the First Service Bank Classic at Clinton. The Lady Pirates were eliminated with a 67-64 loss to Wonderview. Jasper also lost its boys’ game to Clinton 77-50.
