Wednesday bowling results include MH boys winning, girls finishing 2nd against Norfork, Calico Rock

The Mountain Home High School bowling teams began the season Wednesday by taking on Norfork and Calico Rock at Driftwood Lanes.
The Bombers won the boys’ side with a total score of 2,544. The Panthers finished second at 2,023, and the Pirates were third at 1,915. Gray Daniels led Mountain Home with an average of 233.
The Lady Bombers ended up second in the girls’ results with a total of 1,855, 15 pins behind Calico Rock. Norfork took third place at 1,761. Mountain Home was led by Daelyn Harper with a 140 average.

Izard County’s bowling teams came away with a split as they met Highland at Frontier Lanes in Ash Flat. The Cougars won the boys’ match over the Rebels by 72 pins. The Izard County girls did not fare as well as they fell to Highland by 132 pins.
