As the rain has lightened up in some areas, water is receding in Marion County. No injuries have been reported, and there is currently no one sheltering in the county.

According to Marion County Office of Emergency Management Director Melissa Penn, rain is expected to continue throughout Saturday evening but not like it has fallen. County personnel will start assessing road damages when the water recedes and the damaged areas can be identified.

Penn says county officials are hopeful most of the rain has passed.
