The highest amount ever recorded for this month was 16.87 inches in 1927.
Local rivers have mostly made their return to normal levels. At 6 Monday morning, the Buffalo National River had dropped to 13.12 feet at St. Joe from its maximum height of 33.92 ft. Saturday evening at 11:30. The White River was at 15.53 ft. at Norfork down from its maximum of 29.06 ft. Saturday night at 9:30. The Spring River has seen the biggest drop at Hardy as it is at of 6.72 ft. Monday morning from its maximum flood height of 22.68 ft. Saturday morning at 5.
